Money Sucks

I got paid today. That means I also sat down and balanced my check book. That means I also wrote a check for tithing, to my mom for my cell phone texting, to my brother for his mission fund, and for rent--no, I'm not complaining! These are all great things to be blessed to pay for. However, after the check-writing and check-book-balancing, I'm back to broke! Plus there are like fifty birthdays in my family this month. OK, really just three, but one of them is in Guatemala, so I have to send a freakin' package! And all these concerts and movies I want to go to and road-trips and family reunions this summer...Money Sucks, man.

Any ideas to earn extra cash?

End of the Semester!

Spring semester is DONE! This is my final project for my Dada class. It's a collage of movement. I call it "Still." Yeah. Dada. Marie and Jana accompanied me to the Dada Nite performance. To give you some idea of what it was like: Marie was inspired, Jana was bored. All-in-all, I enjoyed the class and learned to be more open-minded.

I'm SO happy to be finished for the summer! I keep saying this, but I really don't know why I'm doing school at all. At least I got financial aid, so I don't feel like I'm spending my money for nothing. Well, ok, it's not NOTHING. I will have a degree when I'm done, and that's a good, big accomplishment. But I really just don't like school. I have about three semesters till I'm finished and I just can't wait! And at the same time, I have no clue what I'm going to do when I finish. At this point, I'm just looking forward to getting that degree and never going to school again.

Now the question is what to do with my summer...

I'm participating in a book club that Marie and her roommates started up. We're having our first meeting tonight, and I'm really looking forward to it. We're going to expand our horizons thru literature! Anyone that would like to join us, there's a blog that's been created and you're more than welcome to read along and post your thoughts:

There are also family reunions and road trips and concerts all in the works. I just hope my funds will see me through the summer and into the fall. This could get VERY expensive!
